Indiana

Lincoln while eating supper tonight; "Can we go to Indiana sometime?"
Me:  What made you want to go to Indiana?"
Lincoln looking at me with an exasperated expression; "Mom, it's a state."

Christmas

I love Christmas.  I love spending time with all of our family and am always a little sad when it ends.  This year will be especially memorable because Matt's Grandpa Schroeder past away a couple days after Christmas.  We will miss Grandpa, and have been praying for you Grandma.

This was at Matt's Uncle Norm's house for the Flesner family Christmas.  The kids watched movies while we played pitch. Before we played, we had the kids and adults act out different animals while everyone else tried to guess what they were.  Lyla sat and watched for awhile and then said she wanted to be a lion.  I whispered that she was going to be a lion so people would have some clue what she was supposed to be.  I laughed so hard I cried when I watched her act out that lion. I can't even describe it, you just kind of had to be there.  She basically took three giant hip swinging/dancing like steps and then Matt's cousin's wife Lisa yelled out "lion" since of course she had heard me whisper what it was.  I know it doesn't sound that funny, but boy how I wish I had that on video!

Uncle Norm making Lincoln and Lyla a  leather belt with their name on it!  SUPER cool..thanks Uncle Norm!

Playing "nerf war" in Pam and Ed's basement.  I think the adults that played this got into it as much as the kids...if not more.  No, I did not play  if you are wondering.  I forced myself to sit out on this one. :)

The morning we had our family Christmas.  We were excited to give the kids their presents, and thought that would be the first thing they wanted to do.  Wrong.  Even though we tried to convince them to open presents first, they insisted on eating right away...go figure.  Next year we will know to start with the breakfast.

We were at my mom and dad's Christmas Eve and Day.  Christmas Day my mom, sister, and I sang a trio at my parent's church which was alot of fun.  My mom made a yummy turkey dinner and the kids had tons of fun playing together.
