Lincoln and Lyla both had a pretty bad rash in the last couple weeks from something called fifths disease. At first I thought it was allergies on Lincoln because he has been having so much trouble with his eyes from allergies. A couple Sundays ago he was was wheezing and complaining of a stomach ache. The wheezing shook me up quite a bit and I was so thankful to be able to call my brother who is a doctor. He calmed me down a little and told me to take him into immediate care. The doctor there told me it was probably from allergies and since he hasn't had it since then I am hoping it was part of some respiratory virus. Anyway, in addition to all that, turns out the rash was actually fifths disease, which is some weird thing that really has no other symptoms, and by the time you get the rash it isn't contagious. Lincoln had it and then Lyla got it a few days ago. Initially she almost seemed glad she got it because she has been begging to have some medicine ever since I started giving Lincoln childrens Zyrtec for his allergies. She would often tell me that her eye hurt "right here." Anyway, she was pretty disappointed when I told her there was no medicine for the rash!
